got seven fillings and one extraction. How much would that cost in the US without dental insurance?

3. I'd guess
between 1500 and 2K.

I've had nothing but good luck with Mexican dentists.

4. Algadones is well known for quality dental care

many government workers in Yuma go to Algadones rather than use Yuma dentists.

5. Good luck with that. Knowing how hard my son worked to pass his Dental Boards....
....I would prefer a dentist who is board qualified.

But that's me.

6. One extraction ran me $250, not counting the x ray and the referral from my dentist.
The x ray was $100, the visit with my regular dentist was $45.

7. Wow!!! Almost $400 for one extraction. Half of my 7 fillings consisted of
repair work on the fillings my Yuma dentist had done a few years ago.

One minor drawback in having dental work done in Mexico - you have to have a passport card to get back in the USA. Also something new - just before we got to the Mexican border we were stopped by two uniformed officers searching for guns and they meant business. Guns are illegal in Mexico.

8. That was after calling around.
The first quote was $950 for one tooth, mostly because absolutely insisted on putting me under. For a lot of different reasons, cost fairly low on the list, I wanted no part of that if it wasn't absolutely necessary.

Once I finally found somebody to do it under a local, apparently my wisdom tooth came right out with no trouble. I thought my oral surgeon was still injecting me with numbing agent until I saw the tooth, the whole thing was so fast. I was back in the waiting room and ready to get my prescription and go in less than ten minutes.
