What i want to ask in a republican Senator/Congressman townhall meeting ...
Edited on Thu Aug-13-09 08:50 AM by InfiniteThoughts
I would like any Republican Senator/Congressman to answer these questions in their town hall meeting:

* How is that Republicans are suddenly worried about Fiscal Deficit. Why did they repeatedly vote for Bush's policies creating deficits and have woken up only when the nation elected a democrat? How did the party suddenly find it's voice after allowing the Bush Administration to run amok for the last 8 years?

* Why does the republican party encourage & goad right-wing radicals, propagate fear & lies, spread outlandish rumors when it comes to debate?

* If government was so inept at running anything, how does the republican party believe in US military - the largest US government organization? If the government was inept at running anything, how can the party claim respect for firefighters, policemen, school systems?

* Why does the republican party fail to mention that Medicare & Medicaid are government run programs? Why does the party not state the fact that 87% of it's users are happy with the service received?

* Why does the republican party feel that the health care system is in no need of a fix when it is the most expensive system in the world but ranks 37th overall? Why does the republican party & it's representatives claim that US Health care Industry is the best in the world without any study to collaborate the claim?

* Why is that the republican party condones the repulsive act of disruptive town hall meetings when a more effective method of debate is to hear the facts on both sides? What is the need for shouting when both sides can explore facts rather than push judgments & inferences?

1. Very good questions
Definitely a "clip and save" list for my next debate with a Rudepublican.

3. if you have such great plans for fixing healthcare, why do you not put those ideas
into action when YOU ARE IN CHARGE!! and if a healthcare exchange with specific rules requiring acceptance of all eligible people regardless of pre-existing condition as well as other rules for a health insurance company to participate is such a threat to competition, then why is it ok for your healthcare?? is there some reason that the insurance that you are able to get is not good enough for the rest of us???

5. well, it sounds from what obama said the other day that he wants an exchange
and if the one the federal employees can access has all these stipulations regarding pre-existing conditions and covering certain things... why is it that the insurance companies can do whatever they want to the rest of us!! what a joke. and it makes me mad that no one ever asks these 'representatives' who oppose the reform anything about their own health insurance or how they can fight a plan that would basically give a similar system to the rest of us.
