A survey of Tennessee business owners who employ 50 of fewer people finds that 79 percent say they are struggling to afford health insurance coverage for their workforce. A large majority endorsed including a public plan option in any healthcare reform package that Washington might enact this year.
Vanderbilt’s Peabody College and the Tennessee Small Business Coalition published the survey report. The coalition is a newly formed affiliate of the Tennessee Health Care Campaign, which has been pushing for reform for the past two decades.
