Tennessee small business owners want a public option......

Small-biz folks sound off on healthcare reform

By E. Thomas Wood

Posted on July 7, 2009 at 10:38 am
A survey of Tennessee business owners who employ 50 of fewer people finds that 79 percent say they are struggling to afford health insurance coverage for their workforce. A large majority endorsed including a public plan option in any healthcare reform package that Washington might enact this year.

Vanderbilt’s Peabody College and the Tennessee Small Business Coalition published the survey report. The coalition is a newly formed affiliate of the Tennessee Health Care Campaign, which has been pushing for reform for the past two decades.

This is TERRIBLE news for Republicans. Right in the heart of their stronghold.
