What would "move" Feinstein?

June 29, 2009, 10:47AM

Yesterday's WaPo ran an article talking about the health care activists who are targeting Democrats in Congress and calling them out for taking money from the Industry and working against Obama. Dianne Feinstein had a quote that really ticked me off:

"I do not think this is helpful. It doesn't move me one whit," she said. "They are spending a lot of money on something that is not productive."

What!?! So, I guess the big question is, if criticism by her constituents doesn't move her, WHAT DOES?
Oh, yeah. That's right. Insurance money.
I just want to take this opportunity to thank the individuals and groups who are calling shenanigans on members of Congress for failing to remember who they work for. But the larger, more important question is, how do we get our elected representatives to REPRESENT US? Really, this shouldn't be so hard...

I'll tell ya what she cares about besides money. She cares about her seat on the intelligence committee.

How do we go about getting her removed?

2. MONEY... that's what moves her
and almost all in Congress. Well, I want all of them to count their money because that money is going to be the reason they no longer work in our government again. And if I had my way, I'd make sure they couldn't find a job in this country.

4. How do we go about getting her removed?
It would probably only take a cursory examination between her committee's decisions and her husband's business to prove corruption.

6. Not much other than pure self interest.
She has been a very vocal advocate of gun control and even confiscation, yet she has a permit to carry a handgun (she has a .357 magnum revolver) and private armed bodyguards.
She can do what she pleases, as can her rich and connected friends. The rest of the people can go screw.

Yet people seem to love her.......

7. Rent control in San Francisco.
At least, that moved her in the past. As a landlord herself, she upheld the interests of landlords and opposed rent control.

9. I just went to her website & sent a comment.
I'm not one of her constituents, but so what?

Dear Senator Feinstein,

Shame on you for your comment "...It doesn’t move me one whit." We, on the left, are giving notice: We the People are tired of our representatives taking care of their big campaign contributors (corporations) better than the People who actually elect you in office.

If I lived in CA, I would actively work to remove you from office. I'll be watching to see if you have a challenger in 2012. I will happily contribute to their campaign.

Another thing - I use to not write to my senators & rep as often, because I thought my statement should be lengthy & eloquent. Consequently, I would never complete a message. No more! I put together a few sentences that get my point across & I write often. Udall & Bennet heard from me twice last week. Just write & write often!
