Natural bleach 'key to healing' (BBC)
A natural bleach produced by the body appears to play a key role in marshalling the immune system to fight off infection and heal wounds.

US scientists, working on zebrafish, which have similar genes to humans, found a burst of hydrogen peroxide is released following a tissue injury.

This seems to be the signal for white blood cells to converge at the site of damage and begin the healing process.

The Nature study may help explain conditions such as asthma.

Asthma, obstruction in the lungs and some inflammatory gut diseases have all been linked to high levels of white blood cells.

Sometimes journos try too hard -- peroxide is not produced to serve as a bleach, it's actually produced as part of the superoxide cascade. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superoxide#Superoxide_in_biology

1. A cure resulting would be good
It must be hard to live with a condition like Asthma on a daily basis.

2. I've definitely read about HP cures before.
And although the proof is behind this, it is not likely to get pushed forward, for sadly, corporate pharma greed will do anything to trample real solutions that don't just manage an illness. But the HP cure makes sense, because isn't HP just one molecule off from the chemistry makeup of oxygen? An oxygenated body stifles disease.

3. You just make this up as you go along, don't you?
This study shows that the body uses hydrogen peroxide as a chemical signal that white blood cells are needed to repair tissue damage from an injury. It does not in ANY way "prove" that the wacky hydrogen peroxide "cures" on the Internet work.

An oxygenated body stifles disease.

A cancerous tumor grows great when it gets enough oxygen. So, uh, yeah. You're wrong.

Some people like to take the position that just because something is on the Internet, it's tainted.
Formerly, this type of information was written in books and pamphlets or transmitted orally.
Now, we are expected to believe since something is on the :scared: Internet, it's bogus.
That's an exercise in irrationality.

How often did you post yourself at a book store in the past and discredit information found in books as customers browsed?

7. Lovely strawman!
Who takes that position? Certainly not me.

Information on the Internet, like information from ANY source, should be viewed critically unless reason to accept its veracity is evident. The alternative is being an open-minded fool who believes everything they read simply because it says what they want to hear, namely that a global conspiracy consisting of dozens of governments, hundreds of corporations, and millions of individuals is trying to kill us all and keep simple cures for all our diseases a secret.

See you at the bookstore. :eyes:

You said that. No one has advanced that position. It is therefore a strawman. We can keep going if you'd like to embarrass yourself some more.

5. What is a body that is not oxygenated?
All I can picture is dead, since without oxygen, you are dead.
