Anyone know of online support groups for spouses of those with chronic illness?
My husband has diabetes and Myasthenia Gravis, and liver damage from hepatitus. There are no local support groups for spouses of those who are chronically ill, and I need to find one online where I can go and get ideas on how to cope with his worsening condition. I work more than full time at three different jobs and the only free time I have is spent at home with him, as we live in a rural area and can't afford to drive to places other than work.

Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Thanks.

2. thanks
I wasn't even sure where to start looking, and wouldn't have thought to put these words into a search engine.

3. i found this on yahoo groups
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SupportCentral/

"This is a email list for those who are disabled or chronically ill. It is also for their friends and families who are trying to cope with the everyday stresses, concerns, and realities of their loved one's illnesses or disabilities. We also have a chatroom for our SupportCentral members. This is where we meet to discuss our joys, sadness, personal stories, medical information, and where friends become like family. To access chat, you will have to go to our SupportCentral Home Page."

i've also found delphi groups to be a great resource.

after my daughter died, i spent whole nights surfing the web with searches like "murdered child" and "grief" and i found so much support. the internet was a lifeline to me - i hope you find some good support out there. i think you can.

loving energy pointed your way...peace
