Are your joints older than you?: Interesting article and quiz to determine the age of your joints.
Each of the participants had different joints tested to show the age of joint compared to their real age.

Creaky joints are something we accept as an inevitable part of ageing. But a recent survey has now found that most people in the UK have joints that are ageing faster than the rest of their body.

The average person has joints 12 years older than their actual chronological age, according to the study of 13,000 people.

The health of your joints depends on a number of factors, such as your genes, weight, diet — even your profession.

2. Unlike wine, they do not age, do they?
Nothing funkier than an old roach.

3. Nope, that's why you want to make sure they are NOT older than you are.

4. That's also the kind of quiz that I'm not entirely
sure how to answer some of the questions. Some of my joints are intermittently achy. About twenty years ago I went through a period when after sitting for a couple of hours, my hips would be quite stiff and take a few minutes to un-stiff. That went away. I have no idea why.

Saturday I rode in a car for a couple of hours, and when we stopped my hips were stiff for about the first seven steps, and then, as quickly as that, weren't stiff anymore.

Anyway, I'm 62 and looks like I can claim age 31-40 for my joints.

I still do head stands, for what that's worth.

5. I'd say that being able to stand on your head probably knocks another 10 years off your joints.
I was thrilled I can put raise arms over head, swivel my neck and not huff and puff. You have raised the bar. Very impressive. :toast:

8. What makes me feel really smug
about still being able to stand on my head is that no, I have NEVER done yoga. I did learn to do headstands as a child, and continued to do them into my twenties. Then I went thirty-some years without ever doing one. The next time I tried, it was a bit of a struggle, but I got up. Then I went another two or three years without doing one, and decided I practice so I could show off to a group I belonged to. The were suitably impressed.

6. Mine have got to be much younger.
I'm 64, and have no problems. I'm very active, and not overweight. I've been working as a chimney sweep for the last 5 years, so I'm navigating dangerous steep roofs with a full load of tools and ladders on a daily basis. Hate to brag on myself, but on this job, I've worked circles around folks who are 30 or 40 years younger than I am. Most of them bail out after one day. :hippie:

7. Being a chimney sweep at 64 gives you bragging rights that's for sure.
