Judge Stays SF Gay Marriage Ruling
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/03/033105calMarr.htm

The San Francisco judge who two weeks ago ruled same-sex couples should be allowed to marry stayed his ruling late Wednesday pending the outcome of anticipated appeals.

On March 14th San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer ruled that gay and lesbian couples in California can marry, and that the state's law against it was unconstitutional. (story)

"It appears that no rational purpose exists for limiting marriage in this state to opposite-sex partners," County Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer said in a written ruling.
