I am hugely disappointed in EVERYONE who voted YES on Prop 8
I am equally disappointed in everyone regardless of race, color, gender, socioeconomic status and religion.

I think you all are bigots.

1. You are one of the most polite people I've ever seen.
I can't imagine saying "disappointed" in that situation. Yet somehow it means more from you than the most angry rants from others.

2. It's a bitter pill to swallow...
Prop 5 also went down to defeat and Prop 9 passed.

It was not a very good day for Progressives and the California Ballot Propositions.

We just need to do more work to educate people.

Fear is a very powerful drug...

4. I doubt that any DUers supported it.
I hope I'm not being naive but I just can't imagine that any decent, self-respecting Liberal would ever support such a fucked up measure.

Unfortunately, the constitutional amendment proposal to ban gay marriage passed in my state, too. It needs to be overturned in the courts, in every state where it passed.

7. Tragically, yes, you are being naive.
There were plenty of DUer/Obama fans who supported this.
