Who's missing here...?
Edited on Tue Sep-30-08 12:07 PM by WillBowden
Got this letter from Senator Ted Kennedy. I noticed a glaring omission...

Dear Friend,

I have a simple but extremely important question to ask you:

Are you registered to vote?

If not -- or if you're not sure -- go right now to VoteForChange.com to get all the information you need to make sure you're able to vote on Election Day, November 4th.

The deadline for voter registration is rapidly approaching in most states. It's very important that you and everyone you know are registered in time to cast your vote:

Barack Obama and I share a strong dedication to bringing more people into the political process.

One of the few positive results of the Vietnam War is the irresistible momentum it gave to Congress to pass legislation lowering the voting age from 21 to 18. I was proud to be a part of that effort in Congress in 1970, and today millions of young people across the country can express their support for Barack Obama in the voting booth.

Senator Obama has continued his commitment to expand the electorate over the past year and a half. He's reached out to Americans of all ages, races, religions and ideologies, urging them to become involved in this momentous election and have their say about the future of our nation.

The response has been extraordinary. Barack Obama has generated as much enthusiasm as I've ever seen in a presidential campaign. But we have to turn that enthusiasm into action.

Make sure you and everyone you know are registered to vote before the upcoming deadlines:

The stakes in this election couldn't be higher.
In a little more than a month, the American people will choose which direction our nation will take over the next four years. This choice will have far-reaching consequences for our economy, our standing in the world, and our children's future.

You and I and many millions of Americans know that the right choice is Barack Obama. But please, make sure that you and everyone you know are able to cast your votes in November. It could make all the difference for our country and our future.

Sincerely,

Senator Edward M. Kennedy

Yeah, I know. I'm being nitpicky. Can't help it. Don't feel like being silent anymore.

Hardly.

2. Aside from the lack that is relevant to this forum...
I am an atheist. I most certainly do not feel "reached out to" in that regard, either.
