Cross post from GD ...... Two great things I got in the mail today
One was our official certified marriage licensee issued by the state of California.

The other was a card from my 92 year old Step-Grandmother who sent a wedding card to us and wrote: "I'm proud to be the step grandmother of two fine young men. May every cloud have silver linings." Love Marie

My step-grandmother is a wonderful lady. When Al Franken used to have his show on AAR she told me that she listened to his show every day. Her old AM radio was a bit scratchy to pick up the signal from San Luis Obispo. So I made sure that I worked that radio so she could hear him.

I'm writing this for a reason. I know that we all want Barack to win the election. And really think he's gonna. But on a personal note, I really have to fight to keep my marriage legal.

Please. If it's only $5, donate to fight to keep gay marriage legal in California. Polls are showing right now that 51% support gay marriage. But we all know what polls in July are like.

Here's a link .....

To me this along with the Presidency is the fight of my life.

I thank you guys from the bottom of my hear.

5. Supporting this all that i can...
... fight to keep gay marriage legal in California.

Massachusetts opened the door, but with California -- wherein 12% of the entire country's population dwells -- we have the opportunity to see real progress in equality and justice with regards to family law practices.

It's the fight of My life, too, even though i don't live there. "Full Faith and Credit" means just that, and in time we will see that aspect of the Constitution upheld.

6. I've donated $50
to Equality California and, even though I've been unemployed since May will be until the end of August and have no other income in that time period, I will be sending another $50 along in a couple of weeks.

A little debt now is a small price to pay to help safe guard the rights of all Californians (which I am not one of), and eventually the rights of all Americans.

Q3JR4.

7. I got mine!!!!
Funny, it doesn't say anything about being good only until Nov. If 8 passes , I would say we are still married. They will really have to pull some shit to invalidate current SS marriages

8. It would be very difficult and practically unprecedented, to annul valid marriages
Even the Georgia case, where a woman married a 14 year old boy to avoid prosecution for molesting him, can't be annulled.
