Clinton is popular amongst LGBT Du'ers.

Hugs and kisses to all of you who are sad about her loss. :grouphug:

That was a wonderful, passionate and extremely classy speech.

I hope we can unite behind Obama for all the reasons Senator Clinton pointed out.

"So today, I am standing with Senator Obama to say: Yes we can."

1. I was touched by her speech.
And, I am sad to see her go, and to see the Primary over. I have spent a lot of time an energy following it.

She threw her support to Obama with grace and secured her place in history as a unifier and a trailblazer.

and plead poverty .... There is no accounting for those who emerge from this race; a race with two outstanding candidates, and see us being 'stuck' with the winner ....

That sour taste exists within your mouth alone : I personally am QUITE pleased with Obama, as I would have been with Hillary ....

One day you may get over your disappointment .... or not ...

23. An embarrassing array of riches and plead poverty? That's a bit much.
Considering both candidate's stance on war and the military, I hardly call this an array of riches over all and considering Obama's stand on same-sex marriage it's almost downright offensive. "Be lucky with what you got you greedy sucker, eat your crumbs."

37. Once you've realized that you made a mistake, you should just apologize and leave it alone.
Instead you continue to be antagonistic. If you really care about Obama, what you should do is look around and read a bit here about why some in the GLBT community have issues with him. And instead of being antagonistic and asinine, you should attempt to understand what a big (and qualified) step it is for many of us to put our support behind him.

for clarifying that nobody is going out of their way to make us happy. It is interesting that any candidate can afford to spurn such a large block of voters. I'm confident that each and every voter here is well aware of their options and examining them closely.
If sadly your candidate should lose or if the opposition gets the bright idea of putting a moderate Republican woman on his ticket to siphon off votes don't fail to recall your maturity and gracious manner. Hopefully, your mother will have a pacifier handy for you to suck on.

Obama's bible also says :

Deuteronomy 22:10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
Deuteronomy 22:11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woolen and linen together.
Deuteronomy 22:12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.

It is clear that Obama cannot afford to let farmers use both an Ox and a Donkey to plow their fields, nor could he allow wool AND linen clothing to be worn AT THE SAME TIME ! .....

And fringes ? ..... WHERE THE HELL ARE HIS FRINGES ? ....

Damn him ... Damn him all to hell ....

46. She should've done it Tuesday when Obama clinched it.
History was made when the first African American got the presidential nomination for a major political party in US history, and by her passing on her 18,000,000 voters lie and still clinging to the fantasy that he's not electable, she spoiled that momentous occasion for him and the USA.

By saying "I will not be making any decisions tonight." She basically shit on every bit of class you praised her for. Saturday was too little, too late.

I was fine with her until after Super Tuesday. The math never worked for her after that. She was not popular with me, so in your mind I must not be GLBT.

66. Nasty comments? The final primary Tuesday she was introduced
... by lying shill on meth Terry McAluffe as "The next president of the United States." and she spoke about her being better than Obama on all the issues as well as electability, the very night history was made and stole Obama's time to shine right out from under him. "I will not be making any decisions Tonight." is bitter, and to borrow your words, NASTY in the context of that historical moment. Whatever she did after that abortion of a speech where her supporters screamed "Denver, Denver, Denver!" means nothing.

So when I read this thread with all the syrupy language of her being an inspirational leader, class act, lovely woman, a laughably "gracious loser", and where she led people to well up in tears over a speech she should have delivered 4 days earlier is truly vomit inducing to someone who sees her in an entirely rational light.

I'm sorry to you that I couldn't help myself and tell the truth, and not let you have your fantasy.

62. You are off your rocker.
I was talking about the Obama hates gay marriage thread you "can't see", not this one.

65. That's some creative paraphrasing. No one said he hates gay marriage.
Seriously though, I'm done talking to brick walls. Seeya.

67. Obviously.
I'm not part of the hypersensitive Hillary-fan-club-GLBT-forum clique, so I don't matter. Fine. Have a good one yourself.

68. "quit whining" sounds like "get over it"
Words that you rail against every time you see it.

70. I feel the say way...
The day she made her speech I recieved numerous phone calls basically asking me, "Please tell she's not dropping outta the race?" It was a very sad day and I find I'm having a hard rallying my fellow local NY'ers around Obama... Hopefully it's just disappointment that the home team lost and the ill feelings will fade before November.

73. My daughter cried and called me and told her gay dad...
"If Barack Obama doesn't pick Hillary, then he's a fool!"

She told me that she, like you, waited and watched Hillary that Saturday. She told me "Dad, I was sobbing like a baby."

i was very very sad to see her failure, and her speech was extremely gracious but he should pick someone else.
