1. I'll buy that
I wonder if gay marriages are effected because heterosexuals are allowed to marry?

I just don't get this marry, divorce, marry, divorce thing amongst christian conservatives. Is it maintain a marriage till ya get it right? My wife and I have been happily married for 32 years but we are just scum insane hedonistic liberals only out for ourselves.

2. I pray for the day when gay marriage is nothing to take special notice of.
A few years back there was an anti gay marriage thing on the ballot here in CA. I went to the grocery store a week before the election and there were two women out front of the store handing out leaflets. I took one and read it. I don't remember all the words but it was something like this. We are a couple living in your neighborhood. Our kids go to school with your kids. We pay our taxes and obey the laws just as you do. There was much more but it said that they were a gay couple and just wanted the same rights and protections that everyone else has. I was so proud of those two for having the courage to do that!

3. I had a hard time getting married.
Didn't want to take advantage of being able to marry someone, until all could marry. We finally decided to, decided it was ok since I'd already been married and divorced twice. Sort of ruined the image already and made it ok. Someday I hope that it really doesn't matter what your gender is. Someday.
