I posted a comment, and a mild one at that, in one of the current threads in GD (you know the ones), and inherent in the reply I got was the assumption that I was gay.

I think that says a *lot* right there.

3. Yeah, I've been "accused" of being gay for arguing for gay rights.

This was in the 1980s. I was talking to a coworker about how I didn't think it was right to fire someone because of that. 2+2=6, I must be gay. I told him I didn't need to be Black to support civil rights, so there was no reason to assume that. (My concern at the time was that word might get around and that girls would pay even less attention to me than they already did.)
