The theme for the 2007 Winter Party FestivalSM is “Beyond Borders”, and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is proud to introduce a new event centering on something that transcends all barriers: laughter!
Comedy Spotlight debuts on Friday, March 2, at 8 pm at South Beach’s Jackie Gleason Theater with three hilarious out comics: Leslie Jordan, Michele Balan, and ANT.
The Emmy Award-winning Jordan is best known for his roles as Beverley Leslie on Will & Grace and Brother Boy in the film Sordid Lives.
Balan has appeared on Comedy Central and in nightclubs around the country, and was the last woman standing in a recent installment of the NBC reality series Last Comic Standing.
ANT hosts VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club and stars in his own LOGO series, U.S. of ANT. Titanium pass-holders and Comedy Spotlight VIP ticket holders will be invited to meet the stars at a backstage reception featuring cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. South Florida’s own inspirational activist, The Bishop S.F.
Ma-hee, will host the show, which will be interpreted for the hearing impaired. Tickets are $41.50 and $61.50; VIP tickets are $101.50. Tickets are available at the Gleason Box Office or through Ticketmaster.com. Don’t miss your chance to laugh OUT loud!
