about them splitting up the defendents in a trial in AL where 3 killed their roommate and googled around for more info. That led me to another site about a 15 year old who killed himself along with a couple of trans who were killed in other areas. We all know the names that have gotten lots of press coverage like Brandon Teena and Matthew Shepherd - but I'm wondering if people realize just how often someone in this country is killed, beaten up or commits suicide because of other people's hate and fear.
I went to GLAAD, HRC and PFLAG but didn't find anything that puts it all together. I guess I am looking for one centralized map - similar to what the Southern Poverty Law Center does at it's Hate Crimes map

I guess it started with dsc's earlier post about the 14 yo who couldn't live with who he was and the discussion of what many of us have gone through with family estrangements, people we knew who committed suicide and the one's that other's kill directly.
If there's not something tracked like this on the national level, why not? Unlike those ex-gay-for-pay groups who have these unnamed hordes of thousands of successful converts - we dont need to hide this behind cold numbers and statistics.
