We got hacked. Scottie's dead. And fc and I busted our asses when nobody but one lone San Franciscan gave a goddamn. Just like everything else we ever tried.

I'm taking a break, too. IT's done wonders for me. I logged back on tonight to read LBN (I have to log in so I can read in large text) and I fell into the GD trap.

Log off. Walk away from DU and the internet for a week or two. You will feel refreshed and you'll realize how much of that big ol' world out there you've been missing.

I understand how you feel. I sometimes take "extended" breaks from DU and Politics from time to time. All in all, though, I spend more time at it than Bush. ;)

Still, I know how it feels. It can get overwhelming, frustrating, infuriating, and just plain depressing after long periods of time. Take the time you need, and when you are rejuvenated we'll still be here.

As much of a "pressure valve release" as DU can be for us, sometimes we have step away from it for a while. I've been taken a mini-break and quit posting on DU except for the LGBT forum, so I can understand your frustration.

10. I will miss you, and hope you miss us

enough to come back soon. I've been missing NSMA. I also have been missing housework that I need to attend to while I surf here. I prefer the LGBT forum + CA forum almost exclusively these days.
