Wisconsin Gay Marriage Amendment Moves To Senate Vote
http://www.365gay.com/Newscon05/12/120505wiscBan.htm

The Wisconsin Senate will vote Tuesday on a proposed amendment to ban same-sex marriage. The measure passed its last committee hurdle Monday with the The Senate Judiciary, Corrections and Privacy Committee voting 3-2 to send it to the full Senate.

To amend the state constitution the proposed measure must be approved by consecutive two-year sessions of the Legislature before it can go to voters in a statewide referendum.

Lawmakers easily approved the amendment under first consideration last year, and groups on both sides of the debate acknowledge they are likely to approve it again.

If they are right the proposal would go to voters in November.
