Pope: People With Poor Ethics Get AIDS
Pope: People With Poor Ethics Get AIDS

"Above all, it is an ethical problem. The change of behavior that it requires – for example, sexual abstinence, rejection of sexual promiscuity, fidelity within marriage – ultimately involves the question of integral development, which demands a global approach and a global response from the Church. For if it is to be effective, the prevention of AIDS must be based on a sex education that is itself grounded in an anthropology anchored in the natural law and enlightened by the word of God and the Church’s teaching."

1.  The lie is that condoms aren't a critical piece of prevention. But the truth
Edited on Tue Nov-22-11 04:28 AM by pnwmom
is that people increase their risk by having multiple sex partners; or by having sex with someone else who does. People who have multiple sexual partners are putting them all at risk. Adults in high HIV areas who prefer having sex with children ( because they probably haven't been exposed yet) are despicable.

2. Who cares. He's discredited. And on pedophilia in the priesthood, he's not been
cooperative, from what I understand. And he still hasn't issued an apology.

4. You mean the Pope who led the cover-up of child sexual abuse? That Pope?
Pope 'led cover-up of child abuse by priests'

The Pope played a leading role in a systematic cover-up of child sex abuse by Roman Catholic priests, according to a shocking documentary to be screened by the BBC tonight.

In 2001, while he was a cardinal, he issued a secret Vatican edict to Catholic bishops all over the world, instructing them to put the Church's interests ahead of child safety.

The document recommended that rather than reporting sexual abuse to the relevant legal authorities, bishops should encourage the victim, witnesses and perpetrator not to talk about it. And, to keep victims quiet, it threatened that if they repeat the allegations they would be excommunicated.

7. Yannow??
I wish the media would quit glossing over the RCC's, the Boy Scouts', and the Penn State cases by using the term "child abuse". It was goddam rape. Those who helped cover it up are either co-conspirators, enablers, or fellow predators.

The system that was supposed to protect kids failed miserably. They shouldn't be allowed to gloss over their crimes.

That's just my $1.298.

10. I will keep saying this until the day I die
I am uninterested in what professional virgins have to say about sex. Do I ask my accountant her opinion about the plumbing in my home? Until the Pope lives an out sex life, he can take his opinions about how I should live my sex life and carry them to hell.
