Man kiils wife, son, self...
That is the headline. What is omitted in the headline is that crazed father also shot and critically wounded his son's domestic partner, Kenneth Kilgore, who was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center.
http://timesfreepress.com/news/2011/oct/01/man-kills-wife-son-and-himself-bradley-county-trip/

The RUMOR that my husband and I received from friends in Bradley County is that the now deceased mother was much more accepting and supportive of her son and his partner than was the crazed father. The son and his partner had been together for a while, had property deeds in both of their names, and seemed to be well liked by their neighbors.

I have three sons and I can't imagine EVER really wanting to harm them, and I can't understand what kind of crazy would drive a parent to shoot a child...I just can't wrap my head around that.

Please send kind, healing thoughts to Mr. Kilgore, or if you pray please do so. I hope that he recovers, and RIP Mom (Gail Boling) and Son (Charles Boling, Jr.).

2. Yes it is...
and I hope that you read the article as the deceased son had two sons from a previous marriage who have lost their father and grandmother from the actions of the crazed father.

Hoping that you're well.

7. I did read the article. The family must be devastated.
I've been doing OK. I recently took my 2 1/2 year old son to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum to ride trains including one pulled by a restored steam engine. He is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan and he had a great time. The sight of the trains huffing and puffing was thrilling! When we were riding on the train we got to watch the fireman and the driver shovel more coal into the firebox and blow the steam whistle! The event itself was rather disorganized. I'll probably take him back to ride a longer excursion train next year but not as part of an event weekend.

I sure wish I could ride a train from Northeast GA to Chattanooga. Driving through Atlanta and up I-75 is rather stressful to say the least.

I hope that all is OK with you! The Tennessee Valley area is just beautiful in the fall. :) :hi:

3. Headline should read: Deeply disturbed homophobe kills wife, gay son and self.

5. Here's another headline from the chattanoogan...
http://chattanoogan.com/articles/article_210230.asp

I had a problem with the print page from the Times Frees Press as the sub headline reads 'Triple homicide shatters quiet in Bradley County neighborhood'....crazed father was a suicide, unless someone already knew that Kenneth Kilgore wasn't gonna make it.

I still can't wrap my mind around 'crazy assed, freak, kills his son. I don't have murderous thoughts about my husband either, but shooting one of my sons...crazed.

They bring great joy to me, they frustrate the hell out out of me, but I love them all.

6. Thank you, and please keep the survivor of this tradegty in your
thoughts and prayers also...Kenneth Kilgore. And of course the family members who aren't talking now, but will have this pain to live with for as long as they live.
