The Nevada Tourism Commission has launched a new website catering to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The site, gay.travelnevada.com, lists events of interest to the gay community and LGBT-friendly hotel properties.

Among the Las Vegas events listed on the site are Gay Nights Las Vegas Aug. 4-7, Las Vegas Pride Sept. 16-17, the EnGAYgement wedding and commitment ceremony event Oct. 9, Coronation Weekend Dec. 1-4 and GayDayS Las Vegas Sept. 4-10, 2012.

The Reno Rainbow Fest, Reno Gay Pride and Lake Tahoe Winterfest Gay and Lesbian Ski Week also are listed.

Several Las Vegas resorts are listed as gay-friendly on the site.

2. I sampled the "gay scene" at Vegas once.
Dreary. I'd have thought they'd have several nice places for GLBT folks, but the three places I went to seemed sad. Hopefully, your mileage will vary, and since I've already seen Vegas, I don't plan on going back. {{SHUDDER}}
