The freepers are heavily skewing the poll. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2740541/posts

Its currently 87% Against, and 12% for. :-(

2. Too bad about them.
Marriage equality is a fact in NY and they will just have to weep and wail as they choose! :-)

3. my husband was talking to my brother on the phone today
they work together... and they must have been talking about gay marriage because i could hear my husband trying to explain to my brother why gay marriage is important. i assume (since my brother is a glen beck/ faux news viewer) that he is against gay marriage) though i have no fucking idea why. why should it matter to him. he doesn't go to church. how will it affect him!!! sometimes i just wish i could smack my family!

5. Psst...it passed & the Gov. signed it..the poll is meaningless like the freepers...
the only way it will be overturned is with a entire new slate of elected assembly & senate which is likely to happen.

13. OK. But it doesn't matter. Every serious poll shows....
... a solid majority here for marriage equality.

It's now the law. It's a done deal. New York is not Paducah. The rest of the country has to get used to it.

And it will.

15. We had a big impact, thanks to all who helped. Poll stands at 66 against and 34 for the law
And that is a big difference from 88 against and 12% for the law.
