I was one of those people who was saying "get out of the way, we will take care of the GLBT community later." "Gay marriage? Who cares?" I was so wrong, and I know that. I will live with this guilt till the day I die

DU changed me. When I saw the sincere pain that Prop 8 caused my friends here, it was soul wrenching, and changing.

I promise never ever to belittle or betray the GLBT community ever. My whole attitude has changed over the past few years. GLBT looked after my grandmother, taught me, were my greatest teachers, friends, employers.

You are in my hearts forever.

I promise never, ever to turn my backs on the GLBT community ever.

I just wish I could take back some of my ignorance, lol. I wish I could have known ten years ago what I know now.

It is really amazing to recognize that GLBT people were the most important people in your life, and when you realize that, there is a responsibility to make things right, or try to.
