I've been told and at this point I'm convinced it is true (correct me if I'm wrong) that in no country on the planet did marriage equality come before the freedom to serve openly in the military. Yes, I'm convinced that it is the repeal of DADT that will open the floodgates to our full participation in the freedoms of the United States.

appeal of homophobia is wearing off. Fewer and fewer people respond favorably to it. It's a longterm losing tactic.
