Equality NC is reporting that we lost both houses of the NC general assembly
that means the last state in the south east without a marriage amendment will have one in 2012. We also we see massive cuts in education funding. As a gay teacher in NC, not a good night.
We just headed at a dead run back into the last century. Everything we have worked for is in serious jeopardy. Woman are in trouble too. "Illegals", well they will be headed out soon, the man who wrote the law for Arizona is now our Sec of State. Our governor refers to you as "fruits". Nobody believes the earth is over 6000 years old nor do they believe in evolution. Our governor is going to make a secretary of repeals to look at all our laws. I don't know if I can take it but if you can take it I suppose I can too.
for individuals will be worth everything. We will never win if we let everyone down now or let them get so seriously down that suicide is their only way to respond. We have to make that better and what you did tonight will go a long way to helping them. We grown-ups can fight this until they are grown enough to help and then take over but they must be healthy. You know that but I bet it doesn't feel like that now. Sometimes I feel like I should just not respond, my experience is so different. I use the "we" because I do feel like we are a we. You do know how I feel about all of this. Still, my saying I'm sorry must seem like a little nothing compared to what you are facing.
For what little it might be worth I am with you until we see this through.
7. That was my last thought before I went to sleep last night
and the first thing I dreaded when I woke up this morning. Every new GA session there's that one idjit who submits the bill for a marriage amendment and this time it's likely to get to the floor and pass.
