"God HATES America" is a statement that is common to this organization. They promote virulent hatred against the gay community as well as any other community that they deem "sinful." The WBC's definition of what they consider to be "sinful" seems to be ever changing and ever broadening.

This past Friday, Dallas was lucky enough to host a scheduled display of blatant anti semitism and homophobia by the Westboro Baptist Church.

The Dallas Resource Center, an important advocate for the Dallas gay community, had the clever idea to turn the WBC's protest into a fundraiser to replace their ice machine. The fundraiser was a success, raising more than five thousand dollars before the protest even began. The fundraiser was entitled "Hell Freezes Over" and it generated money from across the country. In addition, 2,700 more dollars were donated during the protest which met with over 350 counter protesters.
The Resource Center got more than enough money to replace their ice machine and everyone got to exercise some tolerance, thanks to the WBC.

Who says that something good can't come from something evil?
