I need help with a ? for our superintendent interviews
We are hiring a new superintendent for our school district and I feel it's important that they be accepting and supportive of all our students - to the point of letting his staff know they must act appropriately or face discipline and then act on it.

If anyone could help be phrase a question the will get to the heart of the matter, it's a make or break issue with me. I believe most of the other board members feel that we don't have an issue along these lines but I have seen otherwise. The past superintendent ignored my complaints on the matter.

1. Who can go to prom?
That's been in the news a lot lately. (Hint: Anyone, and with anyone)

6. Yeah, echoes La Lioness' suggestion, below. I'd go with a broader question first, though.
(I'm assuming the intent is to get a feel for an overview of candidates' POV. ) :hi:

3. Off the top of my head suggest you phrase it within established guidelines.
If there's a relevant phrase that echoes your comment - "accepting and supportive of all our students" - suggest you cite it and ask for specific follow-up / intentions.

If there's no such phrase, suggest you ask if the candidate would support adopting one to include LGBT students.

:hi:

5. What in your opinion constitutes bullying?
what do you do about off campus and on line harrassment that affects students? What is free speech as opposed to harassment? how is a dress code enforced? what is your committment to provide a safe secure learning environment?
