'Senator Swish' - from 'Well Covered: Pulp Pride'
Edited on Fri Jun-25-10 03:04 AM by tomm2thumbs

Excerpt:

In recent years, gay and lesbian pulp has reached a new generation of fans. Not surprisingly, the titles are especially popular with collectors, who flock to stores like San Francisco's Kayo Books to scoop up titles like "Satan Was a Lesbian" and "Midtown Queen." The academy has also caught on to the trend: both Duke and George Washington University have extensive pulp collections. Even commercial publishers have taken notice, releasing several books on the subject in recent years. Still, most collectors are less interested in the literary merit of the these paperbacks than in their frequently outrageous cover art. With that in mind, here's a by-no-means-exhaustive collection of memorable covers.
