Figured I'd post about this here, since I know we've got a few WoW geeks hanging around GLBT. :D

Proudmoore-US's own Spreading Taint and Stonewall Family, the two largest LGBTQ guilds on WoW, are teaming up again for the 6th Annual Proudmoore Pride. Horde and Alliance, LGBTQ and allies alike from across WoW are all invited to help us celebrate Pride in style in Azeroth, on June 19th! This year's theme is the Last Dance, considering Cataclysm is going to blow up our parade route. (Maybe queer folks really
are bringing the apocalypse! XD)
There's going to be a pre-parade meetup/party at Camp Taurajo (Horde) and Theramore (Alliance) at Noon PST, then we'll meet in the middle of the Barrens and march to Ratchet, finally taking the boat to Booty Bay (where else?) for a HUGE dance party. There's also fun contests and prizes, as well as a streaming music station for those of you who just can't do a Pride event without thumping house tunes. XD
Proudmoore is a PvE server, so you won't have to worry about PvP griefing. We do have security teams from both guilds who will ensure that homophobic douchebags of either faction can't grief NPCs to disrupt the proceedings, and also to protect any lowbies from stray high level mobs. Though, in my experience, we get very few if any idiot trolling the event. Our server is the unofficial LGBTQ realm, and has a ton of awesome straight allies who are really supportive.
Party-goers from other servers can join a special guild for guests for the day. Both Taint and Stonewall Family will have these, so guests from neither faction will be left out. I mention this because we'll also have Ventrilo servers up, so you can chat with folks. :) Every year we get a ton of people from other realms coming to party with us, and it's always a blast.
All the details can be found at
http://www.proudmoorepride.com. There's also videos of previous Pride events so you can get an idea of what to expect. I'm also a member of both guilds, so if you have any questions the site doesn't cover, feel free to drop me an in-game message on Leilandra (Horde) or Aishwaria (Alliance). (Horde is my main faction by far though, so keep that in mind.). I'll probably be riding with the Dykes on Bikes again this year, in the sidecar of some butch Orc mama's hog. ;)
