This is not my normal taste in music. I'm not sure why I find the song so appealing. I thought it might just be the singer, but I've been listening to it while fishing in Warcraft so that's obviously not it.

It's about a straight guy who is secure in his sexuality. He's a troublemaker who is in a club and notices a bunch of "frat boys" who he regards as "lame." So being the troublemaker that he is, he goes over to one of them and kisses him. In the process of doing this, all the women in the club go wild for him because they dig a dude whose "secure" in his sexuality. He also steals the girlfriend of the guy he kissed. He also talks about his male friends, remarking that they do stuff like that all the time, and that you never know 'how far they'll go.'

It's meant to be a humorous song making fun of straight guys who aren't secure in their sexuality. Therefore, it's very pro-gay. ;)

Also, the song isn't "I Kissed a Boy (And I Liked It)"; the song is "I Kissed a Boy (And They Liked It)" - they being the aforementioned girls in the club.

I assumed the song was pro-gay. I've been listening to it pretty much non-stop. It's stuck firmly in my head right now.

I noticed up thread where it seemed like some people might not have understood what the song was about. It's pretty clear if you look at the lyrics, but I didn't want anyone walking away with the wrong impression. Also, I noticed in the comments on the YouTube video that some people are misinterpreting the line: "I know it's wrong, but I don't mind."

He's not saying it's wrong that he kissed a guy, but rather it was wrong for him to grab a random stranger and "plant one right on him" with the intention of causing trouble.

Also, although I don't think it's confirmed, the song may have also been made as a slight parody of Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" since it was released shortly after it success. It's also more pro-gay than Katy's version. (It's pretty clear that they at the very least drew inspiration from her song, if you look over the lyrics.)
