Sen. Gillibrand: "I expect the DADT hearing to take place next month"
Via Twitter.

There is a lot more support in Congress for full repeal of DADT than people realize.

I expect the DADT hearing to take place next month after the confirmation hearing for Marine General Clifford Stanley.

For the record, Clifford Stanley is the nominee for Under-secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.

And what will they replace it with? Another "compromise"?

2. Do you ever have a single happy thought?
Just curious. If you do, you don't show it.

3. I'm a Second Class Citizen In a Third World Country.
When that changes, I'll be doing handstands every day. Until then, I reserve the right to be angry and/or skeptical about the government's continual withholding of my rights.

However, I had a happy thought two nights ago when J Roll hit a two run double in the bottom of the 9th to put the Phillies up 3 games to 1 in the NL pennant race.

4. Just abolish DADT already!
Like we should worry if it's gonna affect morale, Puhleeze! The military is trained to kill, and on liberty they go out to drink with some bedroom action going on at the end of the night. And they are worried about a LGBT in their unit, because it will violate their self-righteous christian belief system?!?!?

If anything, not only will abolishing give more rights to LGBTs, but it will help in causing the christo-facists leaving the military like rats in a house full of cats. Then they can go off and have a circle jerk with some teabaggers or a militia.

6. The roadblock is, as always, really the US Senate.
I know WHY the founding fathers decided to tilt the balance of power in the Senate towards smaller states... but still, it doesn't change the fact that a citizen of Wyoming gets 138 times more influence in the Senate than a citizen of California.
