That movie really WAS robbed.

1. Hubby and I watched it for the first time last week
I'm glad he bought it because it's one I'll want to see again and again. A terrific performance and the events - what can I say. I was moved by all.

3. This movie was a wonderful piece of film art and humanism.
As sad as it was, it reinforced some good things about activism and about how people can care for people. Sean Penn was just amazing. The director and the whole cast were amazing. I am blessed for having seen this movie, truly. I loved every minute of it and I do not say that about very many movies in my long entire life...

4. Watched "Milk" and "The Times of Harvey Milk" back-to-back
a couple of Saturdays ago.

Milk is one of the four or five best biopics ever made. Beautiful, sensitive screenplay with no agenda other than to tell the story of a really remarkable man. Wonderfully acted -- the power of Josh Brolin's portrayal of Dan White only hit me the next day. The production design, costumes and music are all incredible. Who else but Sean Penn could have even been seriously considered to play Harvey? Yet another amazing portrait to add to his already crowded gallery.
