At Pride today we decided to watch instead of march - last year we marched so our view was from the inside and didn't get to see any of the groups - and I loved seeing all of the different professions represented (many a company/corporation sponsored an entry). I remember a group last year that represented gay construction workers which didn't seem to be there today.

I'm a land surveyor.

On the side, I'm a wedding officiant which is a lot more fun. I'm looking forward to the day I can do s-s MARRIAGEs instead of just commitments (sigh). Oh, well, "opposite" marriages pay for the equipment for my "third" job, which is running the micro-farm with my husbear.

The blackberries will be ripe in about 3 weeks and the raspberries won't be far behind. I didn't count on having so many so soon, and damn, wouldncha know I have half the wedding-work this year that I did last year, so I won't be buying that cooler I suddenly desperately need to keep all this produce cool to get to market.

If it ain't one damn thing, it's two. Any NC gayfolk needing fresh blackberries this year?

I work for a place that makes axles for GM Trucks and SUV's (for now, we will see what happens). I am member of the U.A.W.

I am also working part time to finish a degree in Chemical Engineering and Pollution Prevention. I want to work in water treatment and safety, or for some major brewery somewhere, which ever happens first.
