New Hampshire Legislature approves gay marriage (SFGate)
(06-03) 13:44 PDT Concord, N.H. (AP) --

New Hampshire legislators approved a measure Wednesday that would make the state the sixth to allow gay marriage, and Gov. John Lynch said he would sign it later in the afternoon.

He had promised a veto if the law didn't clearly spell out that churches and religious groups would not be forced to officiate at gay marriages or provide other services.

The Senate passed the measure Wednesday, and the House — where the outcome was more in doubt — followed later in the day. The House gallery erupted in cheers after the 198-176 vote.

"If you have no choice as to your sex, male or female; if you have no choice as to your color; if you have no choice as to your sexual orientation; then you have to be protected and given the same opportunity for life, liberty and happiness," Rep. Anthony DiFruscia, R-Windham, said during the hourlong debate.

1. Let's see if he really signs it THIS time.
"I won't sign this law unless it specifically says you don't HAVE to get gay-married if you're not gay."

9. I just went to a conservative website- and they aren't even talking about it
They are so busy trying to prove that President Obama personally ordered Republican (I thought they were all Republican) Chrysler dealers to be closed over Democratic ones, that they haven't seemed to notice the marriage bill getting signed.

It's not even on the front page of W orld N et Da ily

10. Soon we're going to run out of states to target through the legislature, this is awesome
Soon enough almost all the states without gay marriage bans will legalize gay marriage, and we'll have to move on to overturning those gay marriage ban amendments.

I mean we won in New Hampshire, and a NY state senator recently claimed they have the votes to get it through the state senate, if that's true then we'll have won in 7 states, and 5 states so far this year.

We ought to start targeting red states that are more libertarian than conservative.

I hope that the states without marriage equlity bans will soon follow these six and then we can take on all those states with their h8teful bans.
