You know where the president stands...

What a load of hooey.

I could understand if he had said that the president would not comment on state decisions, but to answer the question in this manner is yet another slap in the face.

1. Shhhh
Even daring to question Obama's lack of commitment to the gays whose votes he no longer needs will open up a world of trouble here.

2. I'm sure it will...
And yet, I find myself not really caring.

3. Sheeeezzz. They're not even *talking*about it?
Is it safe to say then that they are not much thinking about it?

4. I think it's safer to say...
They would rather just avoid the big bad gay issue altogether.

5. Probably because
When they think about gay people, they think about guys having sex (forget the lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered (and definitely forget the pansexuals and polyamorous)). When I think about gay people, I think about hanging out with friends and having dinner, (what? Gay people EAT? BODILY FUNCTION!) playing Dungeons and Dragons, cards, or watching a movie.

6. There Will Be No Stopping The March Forward On Gay Marriage...
Even the hardcore Neocons know they have lost on the issue.....

The Churches, and the Republicans will however continue to promise to "Stem The Tide Of Immoral Queer Marriage" for only a small donation once a month for the rest of the flocks natural life..... as if they don't give money when asked, the World will in fact fall apart...

It's the same "Demon Oil" that Democrats sell from their "traveling sideshow" to the GLBTQ community.... if you don't give us money, you could end up in a concentration camp (or worse)... so OK, fine... if you don't give us money...... then later don't come crying to us when they stick you in pink tutu prison uniform... and make you dance with Gay Penguins for nickles on the street corner, while listening to a Patsy Cline record with a skip.....

What does piss me off about this situation..... is that as soon as all the rough patches are smoothed out concerning Gay Marriage.... Obama will show up to claim he was for Gay Marriage all along....

I was just hedgin' my bet... Yuk, Yuk.... nudge, nudge, wink, wink... "I was on your side all along"... I had to do all the work "behind the scenes".... to "lay the ground work", "to smooth the way", "to work quietly", "I worked my ass off", blah, blah fucking blah....

Yup! That's the ticket.... running for re-election.....

7. The President is neither a leader or advocate for LGBT people.
Iowa? Silence.

Maine? Silence.

Vermont? Silence.

Prop 8 ruling? Silence.

I'm not seeing or hearing advocacy or leadership. Are you?

12. I've *heard* about it. Is that him standing half in, half out of Donald Wildmon's shadow?
From so far away it's impossible to see for sure.
