Obama's silence on Prop 8, DADT, and other GLBT rights is deafening.

I realize that there's little he can do to impact any court ruling.

However....the one thing he can do is use his bully pulpit to disavow Prop 8 and become the "fierce advocate" that he claims/ed to be for GLBT rights.

If Obama does not utilize his bully pulpit now to "fiercely advocate", he may not have that bully pulpit to speak from later.

(That's if he ever intends to be the "fierce advocate" he promised to be -- which I doubt at this point)

Has anyone else noticed that the only issue affected by Obama's religious convictions is marriage? Apparently his religion has nothing to say about torture, greed, war, massive theft by the rich, etc.

Only on the subject of marriage does God get involved in human affairs.

I call bullshit. Obama's very ostentatious religiosity has always struck me as phony, and that is never more true than when the discussion turns to marriage equality.
