A question not related to Warren, Prop 8, etc. - not to anything really substantive, actually

but I saw an American Airlines ad I really liked in the HRC magazine last night, and nowhere on it (that I can find) does it say who the artist is, and I'd like to know, if anyone happens to recognize the style, or know in some other way.

Even if you can't help with me with my question, I think you'll enjoy looking at the ad if you haven't already seen it.

1. I'd never seen those before... Apparently they started out with this one in 2008:

And now we have women represented as you linked.

From this site: http://www.gaywired.com/article.cfm?id=17752§ion=67:
"A version featuring two women is due early in 2008, an important addition the airline says. "The market is not all white males," Kincaid says, "Exclude women from 'LGBT' at your own peril!"

At the bottom of each is a statement saying that they rate 100% by the HRC. These ads definitely make me want to fly AA.

I don't know the artist. No luck finding a mention anywhere. But thanks for posting this!

4. I found some of his work, thanks to the poster below

They're nice, and I can see why they picked him, but he simply outdid himself with the AA ads! A whole new level, IMHO.

2.  Bill Garland, an artist from California.

:)

I love that type of artwork anyhow, but even more so because it is inclusive of us.

3. Thank you!
I have my eye on a couple of Hawaii tourist prints from the 50's or 60's in a local antique shop (not that I have anyplace to hang them), and it reminded me so much of those. I'm a sucker for mid-century modern in any form, I guess.... ;)
