TeachersPayTeachers/Scholastic Climate Change Lesson Plan Contest
Dear Teachers,

Our environment is suffering, but beyond changing our light bulbs and driving a hybrid, what can we do? Well, the best thing we can do to combat climate change is by doing what we do best: teaching.

To that end, TeachersPayTeachers and Scholastic are sponsoring a Climate Change Lesson Plan Contest guest judged by Laurie David, producer of the Oscar-winning An Inconvenient Truth and author of The Down-to-Earth Guide to Global Warming.

We'll be awarding over $5,000 or 250,000 Scholastic Book Club Bonus Points in prizes to the winners and submissions will be available in real time for download, use in the classroom and peer rating. The goal is for everyone to benefit from this contest and we hope that you will participate by creating a lesson plan or by rating ones you download and use in your classroom.

To learn more about this important contest, visit the climate change contest website by clicking here. **Submissions will be accepted through April 30, 2008**

We hope you decide to participate!

Regards,

Paul Edelman
