Since I was waiting so long, I jotted down these notes, and I got through them all:

I am concerned about the education policy of privtization, corporitaztion, and militarization of public schools being put forward by Arne Duncan and President Obama.

I think the approach to solving problems in education have a narrow focus, and leaves out other contributors to educating our children. (Home/Community/School)

Arne Duncan has never taught in a classroom, and seems to avoid those of us who have taught in an actual classroom. He is not interested in what we have to say.

I hear a lot about urban schools, and little, if anything about rural schools. I teach in a small rural school with a high poverty rate and a culturally diverse student population.
