on top of the raise they get that matches the teachers raise?

No one else in the district gets them.

Can't keep up with all this "reform".

Like rats thru a maze. They get called out for high violence, high weaponry, low test scores.

So basically... shhhhhhhhhhhh... they alter the stats to make things look good. (Can you blame them? Would a sane person expect them to do otherwise? Duh.)

They get the "stick" in this system ( NYC) ; I'm not clear about the "carrot."


Now the general public that believes the stats and believe in the ed "reform" movement: that's more Pavlovian.

3. The admins get $1,500 "step" each year (if there's money).
And they get the COLA increase if the teachers get one. Until they hit the top of their scale, then it's just COLA.

4. I think that's the rule nationwide
But if the Eli Broad Academy "graduates" have their way, ALL staff will be subject to "merit" pay instead of "step" pay.
