The book on this site www.conservativekids.org is being added to elementary school curriculum across the country. Please call your House and Senate Representatives, and your local school board or local media outlets, and ask them to NOT consider this book.

4. No, I can't find anything

One of my friends told me that they are adding it at our kids' school, and they in fact are, but it's a private school. She told me the whole book is about Obama, so I was surprised to hear it would be added anywhere. I can't find any information about it being added at public schools, but I thought someone else on this site may have seen something. I didn't think to 'google' it until you said something.

I'm bringing it up at the next PTA meeting. I'm sure how people go about fighting these things, but I figure if they want my tuition money another year, they'll take a closer look at the situation. I don't want my kids reading something that trashes the President, no matter who the President happens to be, but especially not this President.

Sorry if I jumped the gun on posting it. I assumed that this was a national issue, and perhaps it's not.

Private schools can add whatever they damned well please; which is just another reason why public schools are so important, and conservatives hate them so much.

They incorrectly whine about Obama's speech being indoctrination yet they think it's right to introduce misinforming tree-killers into school? We've already got plenty of noise pollution (cons-dominated talk radio) and tree-killing books that local libraries spend YOUR tax dollars to shelve. We don't need public schools brainwashing any more innocent souls.
