3. NEA, OEA, REA, ASCD.

I get the most out of REA and ASCD. REA, since they are vigorously active on local issues for my district, and I am rarely impressed with the work of the state and national levels. ASCD, since they are active in addressing, theoretically and concretely, generally and specifically, all the crucial issues of the day.

4. NEA and my state and local EAs.

I used to belong to my subject area association, but the dues were too expensive for the amount of useful materials I received. I did attend two state conventions. They were useful for getting lots of good lesson ideas.
