While other studies have shown that periodic use of marijuana can cause memory loss and impair learning and a host of other health problems down the road, new research suggests the drug could have some benefits when administered regularly in a highly potent form.

Most "drugs of abuse" such as alcohol, heroin, cocaine and nicotine suppress growth of new brain cells. However, researchers found that cannabinoids promoted generation of new neurons in rats' hippocampuses.

10. That surely works for me and has since 1964...

although it was not all that potent for the first few years, I smoked mostly Mexican "brick" weed. Some Thai "sticks" and Colombian "Panama Red" trickled through which was better to much better.

Then people around California started growing it. The quality was so much better, all of a sudden, that is when our rulers freaked out and began the "war on drugs". Actually it was a war on our liberty, including free speech and free association. The "dumbing down" of the society was underway...
