SAN DIEGO – Five people were arrested and 13 marijuana dispensaries were raided Thursday in an investigation into what authorities say was the manufacture and distribution of the drug under the guise of medicinal purposes. Federal officials unsealed two indictments Thursday morning after conducting undercover investigations at businesses suspected of illegally dispensing the drug, officials said.
San Diego Police Chief William Lansdowne said officers received hundreds of complaints in the past 18 months about burglaries, assaults and armed robberies in areas near the dispensaries.
What total bs.
The implication being that the customers were buying product and going criminal as a result.
4. The reasonable implication is that people are stealing to purchase it.

There might even be some truth to it. If a dispensery attempts to sell at prices below street value it will attract people looking to deal perhaps including people looking to deal who also invade a home now and again for capital.
That said, correllation doesnt equal causation. Theres no reason to conclude from whats given that those complaints had anything to do with the dispensery.
