Zophran and Compazine help, but only pot really helps, and of course on days I go to work, I have to do without!

4. My mom died from liver failure.
She had lost so much weight because her medicine caused her to throw up. She couldn't keep anything down. I tried to get her to start smoking weed, so that she could keep something down, get back to a healthy weight. But she couldn't.

They were drug testing her to make sure that they weren't 'wasting' a healthy liver on someone who would just start abusing alcohol again.

I understood that, but asked her to try and get the synthetic weed (some bullshit pill) so she could have smoked weed and gotten away with staying healthy.

She just said she'd think about it.

Fucking HATE this drug war. . .

6. had a setback
a pet scan in August showed it's spread to my lungs. The throat area is clear, but I have 8 small lesions in both lungs, biggest 15mm. I'm getting erbitux weekly, with taxol and carboplatin weeks 2, 3 & 4. Just trying to control it at this stage, it's "non-curable, but treatable". I've maxed out on radiation, and surgery is not indicated. So it's chemo again. Feel good most days, oh, there is good news! My group's CD will be out in a week! Check out the webby:

8. I'm so sorry to hear this
How unfair life can be. Chemo isn't a pleasant experience.
A big thumbs up to you, I hope things will develop to the positive.

I loved that Near Myths online hangout, by the way. Is it an art exhibition too? :-)

Glad you like the web site. Art exhibition? Kind of. The whirligigs and windmills are creations of Vollis Simpson (google him) an "outsider" folk artist. He's just outside Wilson (the name of our CD) in Lucama, NC. If you go to the "News" section of the website there are two links (under "windmills? or whirligigs?") about Vollis.

The first song on the CD is about a local legend or myth about him. Also check out "Fool Me Once", that one's mine. The CD will be ready for shipping next week.
