VA pharmacy had plenty of moral convictions, no customers
In my best Nelson Muntz voice: "Ha ha"

The Divine Mercy Care Pharmacy in Chantilly proudly and purposefully limited what it would stock on its shelves. But it turns out that no birth control pills, no condoms, no porn, no tobacco and even no makeup added up to one thing:

No customers.

The self-described "pro-life" pharmacy went out of business last month, less than two years after it opened to great fanfare, with a Catholic priest sprinkling holy water on the strip-mall store tucked between an Asian supermarket and a scuba shop.

No word on whether he returned for last rites.

The drugstore was one of a handful across the country that have put the moral conviction of a pharmacist at the forefront of a business. And as a business model, that's fine, I guess.

2. Looks like this one was Catholic Flavored...found this gem at the end.
"Research conducted by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops estimated that only 4 percent of married, Catholic couples use natural family planning."

This jaded ex-Catholic will tell you. Most Catholics don't give a fuck about church teachings when it comes to reality. The unmarried men leading the church aren't footing the bill on education, feeding, and medical costs.

You want crazy adherance to Church Teaching? Take a look at the Mormons.

4. When you sell nothing of usefulness, then the business model isn't sound
I don't care if you're a right-wing mouthbreather that will only sell wafters and communion wine, but if you have nothing of use that they could get elsewhere, then the business model will be doomed.

Nice to see it went out of business after wasting all that money.

May the other pro-life pharmacies go outta business except in Ave Maria where it belongs.
