Proposed book in fiction chain
I am trying to see if anyone is interested in making a chain book here. That's where someone starts it off and ends it at some point (could be a sentence, a paragraph, or a page.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER AND OVERVIEW DU rules prohibit advocating violence against a senior member of state. I am trying very hard to structure this is a past event, not a planning event.

The concept is that in this year, with the situation of power balance that we're in now, plus the war in Iraq and everything else in real life, news gets out that both the President and VP were killed. It is NOT known why, it's not even known where, and nobody's saying (and for the sake of keeping this thread not in violation I suggest not speculating or I will ask that any such message be removed. DU takes this seriously, and the Secret Service is not known for its sense of humor either. Basically it comes down to if any character asks, media character or politician or bus driver, the response is "no one seems to know or no one is telling".

With that in mind, obviously chaos ensues, politicians are scrambling to see where they sit now for political power, there is an established chain of succession - we all know many number of the personalities involved, including media personalities. International governments will be greatly concerned, some will go on high alert, etc.

Anyway like the idea and want to start it off?
