911: Does anyone have the text of this poem
Sharon Oles, "The magician suspends the children"

I believe it's a sestina and no longer have a copy. It's not anywhere on line.

If any of you do, I'd be very grateful to have it.

Thanks,
Beth

2. I think it might be ' Carole Oles'
I don't have a copy of it, though.

Are you near a college or university? Their Undergraduate or Graduate English Department is very likely to have a copy if you can scoot over there.

6. You're right. I mushed Sharon Olds together with Carole Oles.
And, have been sort of having to let go of my personal library for years now. (arrgh!)

My only real gripe in life is not having a text at hand withing 120 seconds of needing it.

Thank you,
Beth

5. sfexpat2000, I'm glad it's the one you were looking for.
I don't know the exact reason you are out poem-hunting tonight, but I love you for it.

We need more people out poem-hunting, not fewer. Good for you!

And I've been posting poetry to the thread because, that's just the way I think. (Hope I didn't scare anyone off, lol!) That probably makes no sense whatsoever. :)

9. Poetry is a powerful way to change minds.
Sounds like you're using a great strategy, and I say more power to ya.
