Well that's gotta be news to the Anaheim Angels who were defeated 3-0 in the ALDS by Wild Card winners, the Boston Red Sox.

sorry but the A's collapsed last season.

Guess that shows just how much credence I gave the Angels any chance in the playoffs.

BTW, how is losing the division by one game a collapse?

A collapse is my prediction for the Angels this year, who will face three improved teams in its division with all the hype aimed at them.

6. at the end of the season the A's had the lead
they totally blew it. in the last 13 games starting September 19th they went 4-9 to give up the division lead which they held as late as September 28th

Sept 19th standings:

A's 87-62
Anaheim 84-65
Rangers 82-67

3 game lead with 13 to play, won only 4 of the next 13 costing them the division
