I hereby invite both Cboy and Upton to my annual Thanksgiving brunch
Being in Seattle, far from home, and missing Thanksgiving with my family, I inaugurated an annual Lions' brunch years ago. My friends enjoy it, I get a little taste of home seeing the Lions (they used to show snippets of the Detroit parade but for some reason, ended that a few years back, and now they only show Macy's parade tape delayed). Anyway, guys, here's how it will go:

You can come by anytime from pre-game on. My charming dogs, both wearing Lions bandanas, will greet you at the door. My SO and I will also be wearing our Lions gear (this year I have new socks that I just bought!) I've re-created my mothers' holiday breakfast and added a lot of my own stuff over the years. You don't need to bring anything! Here's what you'll eat: Cajun egg bake, homemade raspberry jam scone bake, sausages (three kinds, I accomodate those who don't eat pork, and I have vegetarian sausage, too), cranberry-orange relish, cranberry juice and champagne punch, Mimosas, coffee with Baileys (all of this is without alcohol, too), homemade quiches, homemade spinach pie, we've added pancakes the last couple of years, grapefruit, and coffee cake.

My friends start trickling in about game time, and we usually end up with about 25 people. They are all Lions fans for the day! One of my friends enjoys it so much, he skips Thanksgiving with his own family. As the day starts wearing on, some people start drinking beer. We usually go through the end of the Dallas game (we generally have our own turkey dinner on Friday, up at a cabin his family has).

It's fun! Hope you can make it! Honolulu Blue is the color of the day. Open invite, if you can't make it this time, see you next year.

5. Could we all hang out at the park and play touch football during the Lions
game and then come back and eat all of that delicious food and party during the Raiders game instead?! :bounce:

Eating all of that and watching the Packers up 42-6 at halftime is going to make me so drowsy.

That is nice of you for the invite, and it's a clever way to win us over so we'll change our minds about Detroit needing to be stripped of the game!

8. You can play touch football in the back yard!
Our back yard slopes down to a nice little creek.

This is a serious invitation.

I'm actually going to go see the Lions play this year. (They are coming to Seattle). It will be another opportunity to wear my new Lions' socks.

10. Oh totally, and I appreciate the invite! It would be a blast .. getting out of
family obligations .. not so much.

But I won't rule it out.

Do you live in Seattle and are you north or east?

Since you're special guests you get to go first.
